Linocut Weekend 21st & 22nd September
Dates: Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd September

Experience: Beginners and experienced printmakers
Location: Print Workshop, Lower Ground Floor, Exeter Phoenix
On this two-day course you will explore the ever popular and versatile print medium of linocutting. Covering all aspects of the medium from image composition, carving and registration to the subtleties of inking. Led by talented local printmaker Jeremy Speck, this course is suitable for beginners as well as experienced printmakers seeking to expand their knowledge!
Materials and Equipment:
General shared tools and equipment are provided on the course.
The materials that you will be requested to pay for is the lino, paper and a £2 donation for the ink, usually between £4-8 in total depending on how you wish to work.
On the day:
Tea and coffee will be available in the workshop. The Phoenix Café is also open should you wish to purchase other refreshments during the workshop (sometimes the cafe is closed on Sundays)
Please be aware, there is no parking at Exeter Phoenix, except for one parking space for disabled customers. We are a short walk from many long stay car parks https://exeter.gov.uk/car-parking/car-parks/find-a-car-park/. We are also a short walk from Central Station and the bus station. Alternatively, use the Park & Ride to bring you into the centre.
