Exploring Intaglio 5 Week Afternoon Course begins Tues 5th November
Date(s): Every Tuesday Afternoon for five weeks beginning 5th November
Time: 2pm - 5pm
Tutor: Lynn Bailey
Experience: Beginners welcome but we recommend taking the ‘Introduction to Printmaking’ Course first. Also suitable for printmakers wanting a refresher or change in their practice.
Location: Print Workshop, Lower Ground Floor, Exeter Phoenix
On this self-directed course you can explore the potential of your chosen intaglio process, (drypoint, etching, collagraph, photo etching, silk aquatint, mezzotint etc). If you are unsure about where you would like to start, you will be offered drypoint or collagraph as an intuitive process to start with. The learning ethos will be one of individual development and self-directed exploration. Help and inspiration will be given throughout to enable development and further creative printmaking. We aim for it to be fun, relaxed, supportive and encouraging.
Materials and Equipment:
General shared tools and equipment are provided on the course but there are charges for additional papers and inks.
On the day:
Tea and coffee will be available in the workshop. The Exeter Phoenix Café is also open should you wish to purchase other refreshments during the workshop.
Please be aware, there is no parking at Exeter Phoenix, except for one parking space for disabled customers. We are a short walk from many long stay car parks https://exeter.gov.uk/car-parking/car-parks/find-a-car-park/. We are also a short walk from Central Station and the bus station. Alternatively, use the Park & Ride to bring you into the centre.
